Hypnotherapy For Autism

Children and adults on the autism spectrum would greatly benefit from hypnotherapy. It is a great alternative. How you ask? Temple Grandin, Ph.D. helps us understand from the perspective of an ASD adult. She was able to overcome the obstacles of growing up with Autism. She said, “Many people with autism are visual thinkers. I think in pictures. I do not think in language. All my thoughts are like videotapes running in my imagination. Pictures are my first language, and words are my second language.”

Ready for change?

Our expert hypnotherapist combines deep insight with personalized hypnotherapy, NLP, & holistic coaching for transformative wellness.

I have worked in Behavioral Therapy for the last 10+ years ,with children and adults ranging from 2 years old to mid 20s all across the Autism spectrum. I’ve observed first hand the differences in how an ASD child processes information as apposed to a typically functioning child or adult. Hypnosis with ASD clients is very beneficial in that the client already has this natural ability to visualize and create images in their mind like a movie, and guided imagery just helps tap into the subconscious mind to change unwanted behavior and associations to more desired behaviors and associations. This creates a more hyper suggestible state of awareness and focus for someone with Autism that they can carry on in to their conscious state.

Transform your mindset.

Specialized hypnotherapy, NLP, & transformative coaching to help you navigate challenges and manifest your goals.

How it Works

Imagery has been used for the past century to treat numerous pain and behavioral issues. Over the last few decades people from all walks of life have given more interest to the treatment of hypnosis and people going to a hypnotherapist for behavioral change has risen, especially over the last two decades. Good hypnotherapists help to achieve success. Many obstacles can be overcome because of a good hypnotherapist and their expertise in using guided imagery with the client in the hypnotic state.

Consider that our brain is mainly an image. It is an image processor. A hypnotherapist merely uses words to create a guided imagery in your mind in the state of hypnosis, visual cues are utilized to help better retrieve and remember information, and then anchors are given to the client for them to use in their conscious state to help reinforce the desired behavior. Hypnosis could be a benefit and a tool in helping to overcome obstacles.
