“Live life as though everything is rigged in your favor.”
- Rumi
In therapy we learn which behaviors and attitudes no longer serve us or the future we want to create. I believe that through deep exploration and sharing our stories, the imprint of our past can become the steppingstone of the future we want to create.
My focus is on building a supportive space in which a strong therapeutic alliance can be fostered, while investigating how past experiences and relationship models impact current patterns and behaviors that are causing distress. I work from a place of openness, sincerity, mindfulness, and exploring solutions, emphasizing your strength, resiliency, and inner knowing.
I am experienced in working with individuals of all ages including , adolescents, adults, elderly adults, couples, and . I enjoy supporting clients who are going through or seeking help with a variety of concerns such as addiction and recovery, anxiety, depression, life transitions, dating, navigating family relationships, and personality disorders, with a specialization in eating disorders, parenting, and child mental health.
My approach to therapy is tailored to the unique and sacred personal stories of every client, and based primarily in person-centered, attachment, narrative, and psychodynamic modalities. I consider my approach to be eclectic, as therapy is never a “one size fits all.” I provide unconditional genuine and empathetic support to help my clients understand their experience, cultivate greater inner resources and coping skills, and heal from past experiences and pain.
By using this integrative methodology, I allow clients to explore where the difficulties in their lives have stemmed from, what significant events have occurred, and how this has impacted their life today. This provides a roadmap for healing and creating a new way of being and relating to our experiences.
My goal is to help you confront the past in order to find inner-peace, strength, and the ability to form healthy meaningful relationships. I value and believe that gaining tools to cope with the stress of everyday life allows us to manifest and foster a more peaceful and successful way of living.
The therapeutic relationship is one that I hold close to my heart, as it is a piece of the puzzle that allowed me to flourish into my true self. I know firsthand what it is like to struggle and feel as though the obstacles ahead appear to be near impossible, whether big or small. While in the moment they may seem insurmountable, truly these experiences become the seeds of transformation and the foundation for stepping into our greatest possibilities in life. I invite you to explore your struggles collaboratively in a non-judgmental and safe space to cultivate greater self-acceptance, empowerment, and strength as you reclaim your inner knowing. I’m looking forward to supporting you as you step into new possibilities in this healing and transformative journey.
