My commitment is to empower and heal you by creating a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment to help you uncover your deepest truths and overcome your deepest fears. I will invite you into a more mindful and peaceful way of being as we help you heal using research proven therapeutic modalities such as CBT, psychodynamic therapy, and mindfulness practices.
My goal is to offer acceptance and compassion even for the darkest parts of you so that you may learn to bring love and acceptance to all of you, thereby integrating yourself and alleviating the anxiety, depression, and misattunement that results from splitting off parts of yourself. Guiding you to discover all of the authentic parts of you that got lost along the way as a result of painful experiences, I will help you cultivate greater alignment between your values and true desires, and how you can embody them in your life.
I am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) #110022. I am employed by My LA Therapy and supervised by Manuel Briones, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) #11831.
HOW I WORK
My experience ranges across many age groups, including children, teenagers, young adults, adults, and older adults and I offer both individual and family therapy. I specialize in working with abuse and trauma, anger, anxiety, ADHD, autism, caregiving, grief and loss, inner child work, learning disabilities, life transitions, panic, parenting, phobias, PTSD, rape and sexual assault, codependency and relationship issues, self-esteem, self-harm and self-injury, social anxiety, spirituality and stress.
I am especially passionate about incorporating mindfulness and spiritual approaches that can help clients focus on the here and now and rediscover their innate quality of worthiness and wholeness. I also specialize in evidence-based practices such as Psychodynamic Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I view therapy as a collaborative process and you as the expert of your life. My commitment is to be open and transparent as well as infinitely compassionate. I customize therapy to meet you where you need me to, and provide unconditional support, empathy and compassion throughout.
